Don't ever be afraid to go for that change. I was an immigrant with no promise of college. Ended up learning English from ground zero, went to UCSD for biochemistry and cogsci and graduated last year from Columbia's Human Nutrition Master's. I went through a 35 lb weight loss journey and maintained my weight for the last 3 years. It has never been easy but I made it so far. I want to be a doctor one day and improve primary care. Helping expecting mothers go through safe pregnancy and ensuring healthy growth projectile for children so they reduce their risk of chronic diseases like type 2 diabetes, cancer, heart and kidney diseases. Remie from Ratatouille says, "With Luck, Forward" when his father told him how hard life would be for the path he has chosen. This is my favorite quote, along with "Momento mori". Let's celebrate us and our life. Live it to the fullest :)
